ENCONTRO CON AMADOR LORENZO

Nacenza is the editorial result of a documentary project initiated by Amador Lorenzo in 2014 with the aim of portraying life and the inhabitants of the Massif Central de Queixa-Manzaneda accompanying a rural veterinarian in his daily work. Amador’s work proposes an original visual story contrary to the nostalgic approaches so common when portraying the rural world. Nacenza is a book where animal life and people, the abyss of nature and the security of refuge, the resistance of life and the inexorability of death live, without hierarchy and without priorism.

A senior technician in Image, Amador Lorenzo has a long career in media content: El País (Galicia edition), Xornal de Galicia, Marca, Luzes or Los Angeles Times. Apart from his work in the press, he has been exhibiting his work for more than a decade. Still photography in film productions, highlighting his work in prominent Galician productions such as Matria (Álvaro Gago), O Corno (Jaione Camborda), La Parra (Alberto Gracia) and Ariel (Lois Patiño). He has been co-director of FFoco (A Coruña Photography Festival) since its creation in 2017.
