Paula Veleiro López (Ourense, 1986) studied Audiovisual Communication in Santiago de Compostela and specialized in film directing at the CECC (Barcelona). In 2012, she moved to France, where she spent 10 years making music videos, short films, videos for music festivals, concerts or trailers. In 2019, she starts to make her first documentary feature film, The distance you left, selected in its production phase in CIMA Impulsa and at festivals such as Novos Cinemas, L'alternativa or Intersección. In her eagerness to explore all kinds of languages, she begins a new phase as the singer of La rate timide, a musical group for which she also writes the lyrics. She is currently working on her first novel, which has been supported by the Residència Literària Finestres.
