[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]From today onwards, films can be registered to participate in the 10th edition of Novos Cinemas \u2013 Pontevedra International Film Festival. For this tenth edition, the festival continues its commitment to the discovery and promotion of the talent of emerging filmmakers, consolidating itself as a reference space for new cinematographic voices at an international level.<\/p>\n

ADMISSION OF FILMS IN COMPETITION
\nThe festival will have two international competitive sections that will prioritize those films whose screening will be their premiere\/release in Spain or Galicia.
\nFeature film competition: The Official Section will promote the most daring and heterodox cinema, while Latexos will highlight more modest and intimate productions. Feature films (\u2265 60 minutes) that are their director\u2019s first or second project can be registered to participate.<\/p>\n

AWARDS AND JURIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The festival will award six prizes:
\nNOVOS CINEMAS Award to the best feature film of the Official Section, with an economic endowment of 3,000\u20ac, to be shared between the producer and the director of the film. This endowment increases with regards to previous editions.<\/p>\n

XURADO NOVO Award to the best direction of the Official Section, given by students of the University of Vigo.<\/p>\n

CERES Award of 1, 000\u20ac to the director of the best Ceres feature film.<\/p>\n

CRITICS Award to the best feature film in the competition, awarded by professional film critics.<\/p>\n

LATEXOS Award to the best film of the section, which will include the commercial screening of the film in partner theatres and an economic endowment of 500\u20ac for the director.<\/p>\n

AUDIENCE Award through the participation of the audience.<\/p>\n

REGISTRATION AND RULES<\/strong>
\nFilms that were not commercially released in Spain and not shown on public or private television at the time of registration are eligible for registration.<\/p>\n
