Sahand Kabiri (1991) is a director and screenwriter based in Tehran. Kabiri pursued his screenwriting studies at the Art University of Tehran. His nuanced depiction of gender relations in Iran, particularly among his own generation, is a distinctive aspect of his earlier works. Active in the Iranian film industry and in artistic communities, his works have an insistence on making intelligible the lived experience of disparate cultural groups.. His three short films have been screened at several festivals. Additionally, Kabiri has appeared in feature films and short movies as an actor.
