Fon Cortizo

In recent years, Fon Cortizo (Vigo, 1978) has written and directed short films and documentaries such as Contrafaces (2015), Aysha (2016), Americano (2017) or Filomena (2017), with which he travels to festivals such as Shanghai IFF (China), New Horizons (Poland), Molodist (Ukraine), Visions du Réel (Switzerland), Edinburgh IFF (Scotland), D’A, Zinebi, Play-Doc or FICXixón. His first fiction feature film, 9 Fugas, won the Best International Film Award at FICXixón 2020. Abellón (2024), his latest short film, won the EITB Audience Award at the 66th edition of Zinebi (Bilbao). Currently, he directs the film project development residence, Conecta Lab, in the island of San Simón (Redondela, Pontevedra).

Rosa Taboada

Rosa Taboada (Santiago de Compostela, 1975) began her career in anthropological photography and made documentaries related to ideologies while studying Philosophy at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Under the direction of filmmaker Víctor Erice, she directed a fiction short film, finalist in the Luis Ksado photography contest. She won the Xohana Torres Award for his audiovisual essay Na procura da luz dedicated to poet Luz Pozo Garza. Fondos do Reino Medieval award from the Deputation of A Coruña for a fiction-documentary hybrid short film at Santiago’s Cathedral. She created the production company MARTELA FILMS in 2021, and was invited by the San Sebastián Film Festival as a guest in the Meet Them delegation within the industry.

Sol Alonso

Sol Alonso Romera holds a degree and PhD in Fine Arts (UCM, Madrid) and is a tenured professor at the University of Vigo teaching audiovisual subjects applied to art in the Bachelor of Fine Arts and in the Master’s Degree in Illustrated Books and Audiovisual Animation. She teaches doctoral courses and directs several PhD theses, combining this work with artistic research as part of the Research Group PR3CULT (UVigo). She participates in international exhibitions such as Film/Video (Centrum Sztuki Wspólczesne Zamek Ujazdowski, Warsaw, 2003) or Medo Commonplace (XII Cerveira International Art Biennial, 2003). She is also a curator of exhibitions such as Grafos e Matemas (XIV Cerveira International Art Biennial, 2007) or Retrospectiva Facultade de Belas Artes 1994-2019 (Intersección. II Contemporary Audiovisual Art Festival, Fundación Luís Seoane, A Coruña, 2019), and promotes publications such as Neste universo: Um rumor simultâneo. In this universe: a simultaneous rumor (Ed. Centro de Memória de Vila Do Conde 2014, Portugal).
