TERRA#LAB was born as a project linked to Novos Cinemas – Pontevedra International Film Festival, consolidating itself as a key space to accompany and support emerging filmmakers. Since its inception in 2016, it has promoted more than thirty film projects, especially first and second feature films by new creators, many of which have been screened at the festival and also at important national and international film events.

Although it began as a natural extension of the festival, it has forged its own identity over time, based on a clear working model and an editorial line that is committed to diversity, new voices and proposals that explore the limits of cinematographic language.

TERRA#LAB currently maintains a close and complementary relationship with the festival, sharing its team, vision and programming. At the same time, it affirms itself as an independent space for research, training and creativity, committed to innovation and the professionalization of new generations of filmmakers.
