AULA: audiovisual education and shared creativity
Dissemination and audiovisual education are one of the fundamental pillars of Novos Cinemas. For this reason, we continue to develop AULA, a proposal that combines knowledge transfer with the exchange of experiences between industry professionals and the public, all in a playful, relaxed and stimulating atmosphere.
This section is made up of different activities, including specialised workshops and commented screenings, making it a privileged space for learning, reflection and creativity. Each edition of #AULA produces unique results born from the direct collaboration between participants and guests.
Workshop with the University of Vigo
Within the framework of #AULA, we promote a workshop in collaboration with the University of Vigo, where ten students develop individual short film projects over several creative stages. This workshop seeks to bring unique and revealing ideas to the surface, focusing on the belief that cinema is a tool for bringing people and experiences together, and that each vital context, with all that it implies, is also a source of strength, limits and creative identity.
Workshop with ECAM
Also in collaboration with ECAM (Escuela de Cinematografía y del Audiovisual de Madrid) -a reference training centre in the Iberian Peninsula- we develop a workshop that brings students to the methodologies and dynamics of the professional field, promoting direct contact with creators and providing a space for experimentation and practical learning.
AULA+NOVOS: discovery and expression for new generations
We cannot forget one of the most lively and transformative sections of Novos Cinemas: #AULA+NOVOS, a programme designed for the newest and most restless audiences.
We have full confidence in the radical sensitivity of young people and in their free and unprejudiced way of approaching cinema. For this reason, we have designed a programme that invites the audience to interact, explore and share discoveries and concerns through audiovisual languages. With this section, we seek to cultivate a lasting relationship between cinema and the new generations, encouraging their active participation in film culture.
