Three medieval disembark in the Río de la Plata and immerse themselves in the jungle. They must reach a sacred place before nightfall.

Manque La Banca (Bariloche, 1990) is a filmmaker, producer and musician. He directed the short film T.R.A.P. (2018) which had its premiere at the 2018 Berlinale film festival. His first feature film Esquí (2021) premiered at the Berlinale Forum and won the Fipresci prize.

No es (It isn’t) is a cumulative poem which constant writing process extends over a lifetime. The text of the poem can cover anything. With that list of “what seems to be but isn’t”, Parsi observes in a perpetual movement the spaces and people to create another poem that is caressed, crashes and spins next to No es.

Eduardo Williams (1987, Argentina) studied at the Universidad del Cine -Buenos Aires-, before joining Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains -France-. Williams’ shorts films Could See a Puma (2011) and That I’m Falling? (2013) premiered at Cinéfondation and Director’s Fortnight at Cannes FF followed by Tôi quên rồi! (2014) which had it’s premiere at FID Marseille. Retrospectives of his short films are organized at the Cinémathèque Française (Paris) and at Film Society of Lincoln Center (New York). His first feature, The Human Surge (2016), won the Filmmakers of the Present prize at the 69th Locarno FF and was later shown at Toronto IFF (Wavelengths), New York FF (Projections) and other festivals. In 2020 he presents Parsi, co-directed with Mariano Blatt, which premieres at Berlinale, and in 2023 The Human Surge 3 at Locarno Film Festival. 

 Mariano Blatt (1983, Argentina) is a poet and literary editor. Mi juventud unida (Mansalva, 2015) collects his poems from 2005 to 2015. He co-directs Blatt & Ríos, an independent publishing house.

Miss Chile ’85 has been kidnaped by Tarzán, king of the jungle and  maximum exponent of the anti-pinochet patriotic commando Manuel Rodríguez.

Jerónimo Quevedo is a filmmaker and film producer. His short films, La mujer perseguida (2013) and Enfrentar animales salvajes (2014), premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and have been selected for more than fifty festivals around the world. In 2015, he founded Un puma (Buenos Aires) with Victoria Marotta, a production company responsible for numerous award-winning feature films and short films screened in Berlin, Venice, Locarno, Toronto, New York, Marseille, Tokyo, Mar del Plata, Tate Modern, Harvard University, La Cinémathèque Française, among other festivals, exhibitions, museums and universities around the world. In 2023, they released Arturo at 30 (73rd Forum Berlinale), El auge del humano 3 (Concorzo Internazionale 76th Locarno) and El repartidor está en camino (Special Jury Prize at Visions du réel). They have received the Pardo d’oro at the Locarno Festival (El auge del humano) and the Golden Bear at the Berlinale (Un movimiento extraño, Francisco Lezama).

One night in May, seven years ago, Rafael was coming home from work. Someone called his name as he opened the door. When he turned around he found several strangers waiting for him. Rafael left his house transported by the strangers and did not return home. From that moment on, he lives as if that night had never ended.

Affonso Uchoa is a filmmaker based in Brazil. His first film, Mulher á tarde (2010), was screened in Mostra de Tiradentes, Semana dos Realizadores, among other film festivals in Brazil. He also directed A vizinhança do tigre (2014), winner of the major prize in Mostra de Tiradentes and awarded in other film festivals such as Olhar de Cinema and Fronteira. The film was screened in festivals like Hamburg Filmfest, Lussasdoc and EDOC. He is the co-director of Arábia (2017)  , premiered at Tiger’s Competition in Rotterdam International Film Festival (2017) and awarded in many film festivals as Indielisboa and Golden Apricot, among others. The film was screened in more than 60 film festivals around the globe.
